Frankfurt-Riedberg is not only developing as a modern area to live with attractive buildings, a high quality of life, and extensive infrastructure: at the same time a dynamic science and business location is developing. To communicate and market this unique constellation, private and public investors from the business and science worlds have started the Frankfurt-Riedberg Science City project together with the state of Hesse and the city of Frankfurt.

Johann Wolfgang Goethe University is the epicentre of the Frankfurt-Riedberg Science City. The university has located all its scientific departments on the Riedberg campus. In parallel, prestigious institutes such as the Max Planck Institute of Biophysics, Max Planck Institute for Brain Research, the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies (FIAS) and global technology companies are settling in Riedberg.

The FIZ Frankfurter Innovationszentrum Biotechnologie is the driver of the commercial development of the Science City Frankfurt-Riedberg. The FIZ is supplemented by the office complex 'Campus of Elements', a joint project between Groß und Partner Grundstücks-entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH and OFB Projektentwicklung GmbH.

The economic-scientific field of expertise in the Science City allows synergy potential to be exploited to push forward fundamental research and to develop marketable products. Overall, 110,000 square metres of gross floor space is available for companies that are interested in Riedberg.

Business enterprises and research institutes in the Science City Frankfurt-Riedberg thus benefit both from the excellent working and living conditions in the district and from the classical advantages of the location of Frankfurt: easy access to the key markets around the world, diverse economic structure, financial and knowledge expertise, international atmosphere and the 'esprit' of a cosmopolitan city.
